Warehouse Crew

Volunteers at the Warehouse are the heart and soul of the operation. Volunteers are needed Wednesdays and Saturdays 9-4 and Thursdays 12-6 to clean and organize donations, help with pickups, cashier, answering phone, price items, assist customers and brainstorm ideas to help us grow! Wear clothes you don't mind getting dirty, yet presentable to the public, and shoes cushioned for a cement floor.

Here's some of the positions available:
  • Warehouse Associate - Receive, clean and price donated merchandise, organize displays, help customers, and work on occasional special projects. Meet other volunteers, excited shoppers who get great deals, and spread the Habitat love. You never know what's "in store."
  • Cashier - Meet & greet customers. Cashier, retail or customer service experience required.
  • Office Help - Field calls for donations, pick-ups, and price checks; data entry; other tasks.
  • Donations Pickup Assistant - Occasionally we need a volunteer to fill in helping our staff driver pick up items such as cabinets, appliances, furniture and other large items. Let the volunteer coordinator or manager know if you can be available on an on-call basis during any of our store hours.
  • Donation Procurement - Seek new sources for donations, such as contractors, kitchen & bath, hardware, plumbing/electrical and flooring businesses, realtors, estate sales, yard sales, you name it!
Community Service Volunteers
... are welcome at the Warehouse! CS Volunteers have made a huge impact in our ability to serve the public. When you sign up, the Volunteer Coordinator will contact you and ask you to share the following information:
  • Why do you need to complete community service hours? Is it for school, court-ordered, or something else?
  • How many hours do you need to complete?
  • By what date do you need to complete the hours?
  • At the end of your hours, will you need a letter as evidence of your completed hours? By what date do you need the letter? To whom should the letter be addressed and where should it be sent?
