Here's our learning outcomes…

  • Define “flipped” teaching and explain its application to today’s classroom.
  • Demonstrate an understanding of the relationship between SAMR and “flipped” teaching.
  • Use a variety of technology tools to create engaging instructional videos.
  • Design and share instructional videos, along with implementation plans, for use within their “flipped” classroom.
  • Demonstrate how instructional videos and implementations plans relate to the Iowa Core and 21st Century Technology Skills as identified by the Iowa Dept of Education.

Day 1 - Monday, March 31st - 8:30am to 3:30pm
    *Lunch will be from 11:30 to 12:30

  • Define “flipped” teaching and explore its application to today’s classroom.
  • Explore the relationship between instructional design, inquire, technology (TPACK) and the unique challenges of a “flipped” classroom.
  • Identify and explore a variety of technology tools that enable teachers to create engaging instructional videos.
  • Search for existing instructional videos related to participant’s curricular content.

21st Century Learning Institute Annual Event - Learning to Code This is a two-day event at the end of the month.

Creating a Blended Learning Environment is a combination of evening and online sessions exploring combining online and physical learning environments.




Day 3 - Monday, April 14th - 4:00pm to 5:30pm

This will be an online Sharing Session (from the comfort of your own classroom or living room)
