Grant Wood Area Education Agency and the University of Iowa Center for Assistive Technology Education & Research Presents:

The “Building Bridges Assistive Technology Conference” will provide an opportunity to see first-hand the latest in assistive technologies (AT), practices, and services for school-age students with disabilities. This AT conference will serve as a unique opportunity for professionals, parents, administrators and service providers to exchange and gather information on the current status and assistive technology tools available for consideration.

Keynote & Featured Speaker: Mark Coppin, Director of Assistive Technology at the Anne Carlsen Center in Jamestown, N.D. 
Featured Speaker:  Dan Herlihy, Private consultant from Hoosick, N.Y., providing Assistive Technology training and professional development to educators.

The sessions presented at the conference are divided into three main focus areas which include:
  • Accessible Content & Technologies
  • Augmentative & Alternative Communication
  • AT & Mobile Devices
Participants are encouraged to attend a single track or a wide variety of tracks depending on your conference objectives. Lunch and parking will be included with your registration.
