GMAW: Gas Metal Arc Welding (MIG Welding)

This course provides entry level welder training in GMAW (MIG).  Instruction covers the following areas: safety procedures, welding and electrical theory, basic equipment repair and diagnostics, methods and techniques in GMAW (including FCAW-G, flux cored arc welding with gas shielding commonly known as ‘dual shield’) on structural steel applications.  The course is designed to prepare welders to pass American Welding Society qualification tests.  Welding certifications may be earned concurrent to the course depending on the student’s ability.
