Welcome to World History!
For Grade 9, this course is a study of world history and geography and is commonly referred to as Hum I History. In this course we will focus on five elements: early world history; geography; rhetorical reading; study skills; and digital citizenship. While the content of this course focuses mainly on world history and geography, the focus for instruction is helping students develop the skills they need to be academically successful.

For Grade 10, this is a course designed to help students of all abilities examine the achievements, failures, and discoveries in modern history that have shaped the world we live in today. In this Humanities 2 World History course, we will study the major events of our world’s past, including the Enlightenment, the French & Russian Revolutions, the growth of democracy, the impact of imperialism, the causes and consequences of WWI and WWII, and issues facing the world today. Students will learn how the decisions made during these eras, and the consequences of these decisions, still affect our daily lives.
