The Health Pathway Program is part of a larger network of schools forming the Health and Science Pipeline Initiative

HASPI GOALS

·  Increase middle and high school students’ awareness of health career opportunities

·  Improve performance in high school and college science courses

·  Support student transition and completion of college

• Become knowledgeable in medical & science subjects not traditionally offered in high school

• Fulfill your high school requirements with the opportunity to earn college credit & learn skills that will help you n your medical career!


Course Sequence

Year 1:

10th Grade • Medical Biology 

Year 2

11th Grade • Medical Chemistry 

 Year 3:

12th Grade • Physiology 

Internship in industry



The Health Science Pathway offers:

· Healthcare professional mentors

·  Healthcare and scientist guest speakers

·  Field trips to hospitals, clinics, biotech and research companies, colleges, and universities

·  Opportunities to participate in paid and unpaid internships at health facilities

·  Use of medical equipment

·   Specialized medical lab experiments

·   Health Science Pathway student conference and scholarship
