APRIL 15 through MAY 13

    SUNDAY, APRIL 15th is the kickoff for 

PERSONAL CARE KITS collection for LUTHERAN WORLD RELIEF. The final collection date will be SUNDAY, MAY 13th.  

  Plastic bags with the list of items needed WILL BE AVAILABLE ON SUNDAY, APRIL 15th.  Empty plastic bags with lists will be left in the Narthex and church office for those who wish to participate but missed the kickoff.    Please return partially (or) entirely filled kits to the PLASTIC TOTES just inside the glass partitions behind the last pew by May 13th. 

 Cash donations of ANY amount are also appreciated/accepted.  

$10 covers the cost of a complete kit. Checks should be made to GSL W-ELCA. Please write Personal Care Kit on the memo line. Monetary donations can be returned in the offering plate on Sundays or to the church office by May 13th.


   1  LIGHT to MEDIUM weight, dark colored
      bath-size towel 
(approximately 27”x52” or 20”x40”)

  2 (4 oz.) or  3 (3 oz.) bars of  bath soap, any brand, in original wrapping

  1 adult sized toothbrush in original wrapping

  1 sturdy comb

  1 metal nail clippers (with or without attached nail file)


Worship at Good Shepherd
Good Shepherd is known for the work it does in the community.  It is our worship that prepares us for active involvement in the world.  We gather weekly on Sunday mornings.  As we worship, God strengthens us through the scriptures and the meal of Holy Communion so that we can serve the world in many ways: as teachers, doctors, farmers, parents, volunteers and in many other Christian vocations. 

A Community for All Ages

Good Shepherd is a gathering of God's people participating in God's mission for the world.  Our mission statement is "Multiplying Ministry by Welcoming All to Connect in Christ."  We invite you to consider becoming a part of us as we learn how to welcome one another, to grow as followers of Christ and to encourage and enable the ministries of all of God's people for the sake of the world.  This church offers many opportunities for people of all ages to grow in faith and faithfulness.

Community Outreach
Good Shepherd serves the community in many ways.  It is a cross-civic congregation that pours itself out for the Viroqua community.  On the cross we see the pattern of God's love at work in the world: Jesus lays down his life that others can have life abundantly.  Drawn into Christ through Holy Baptism we give ourselves to the community so that the abundant life of Christ is shared with those around us.

on Palm Sunday!
