Grievance Committee

Grievance Committee  shall investigate all complaints received by the Association and shall function as provided in the National Association’s Code of Ethics and Arbitration Manual.

Duties:

  1. This committee does NOT make determinations as to guilt or innocence.
  2. To file a complaint, as a committee, when flagrant unethical conduct of a member is apparent or requested by the Board of Directors.
  3. Committee members shall be required to attend annually a Professional Standards training session.  Any member not completing the required training shall be removed from the Committee.
  4. There will be a maximum of fifteen (15) members on the Committee.  A panel of three (3) to five (5) committee members chosen by the committee chair, will meet as required to review any investigative complaints.
  5. A copy of every complaint will be sent to the respondent and the respondent will be provided with proper forms to make a reply.  The reply will be retained by the Association Executive for processing to the Professional Standards Committee
