Library News

  • Monday, February 19th is our author visit for 4th and 5th grades (and Secondary School) with Brian Wells! More information is coming soon.
  • Come in and see our new PYP Collection. It is near the ES Library entrance, where the Reference Section used to be.
  • You can checkout ebooks using Overdrive. http://gsis.lib.overdrive.com and type your GSIS library ID card number to get started. There is a link on the menu bar on the right for Overdrive HELP if you have any questions.
  • We have rearranged our space to better serve our patrons. You will find the Junior Fiction collection near the door for class 5C, and our magazine collection is near that.  Tables for reading, collaboration, and individual study are in the area near the window.
  • Come see our Sharing Window. The current display shows 2nd - 5th grade responses to the question "Name Your Favorite Book of All Time". It is a great way to get ideas for good books you might want to read for yourself.
  • The 2017-18 Morning Calm collection has arrived. Look for those new books on the main display near our Circulation Desk.
  • We have over 1,000 other new books in the ES Library! Find them in their proper places on the shelves in our collection. You can tell the new books because they have a small blue, green, or yellow dot sticker on their book spines. Blue dot = brand new, just added; Green dot = just added this fall; Yellow dot = added late in the Spring (May-June 2017)
  • Both ES and Secondary Libraries are looking for parent volunteers. Stop in to see us for more details and to sign up.
  • Besides regular in-class checkout, ES Library has checkout times before school, during lunch and break times, and after school. We are happy to see our patrons at those times.
