Hawkesdale P1 College

Hawkesdale P12 College is a small rural Prep to Year 12 school in country South Eastern Australia. Our school motto is "Dare to Achieve".
Students are aged from 5 years through to 18 years. There are 215 students in total with 125 students in the secondary section. Many of our students live on farms which may either be sheep for wool or fat lambs, beef cattle or dairy. Others live in small country towns of 3000 people or less.
Although there is good internet access, there is no mobile phone service. Students love to learn from and with the world.
The school is approximately 3.5 hours drive from Melbourne, Victoria and 35 minutes drive to the largest city centre of Warrnambool. Warrnambool is our closest beach for swimming. It is a natural nursery for the Southern Right Whales. These whales are in our local waters now with their calves. Port Fairy is close by where fishing popular and an abalone farm exists.

Wunshan Senior High School is locaed in the southern Taiwan with the total number of 1500 students.  It's a combination of junior high and senior high schools.  There are about 33 classes in the junior high and about 24 classes in the senior high.
The school is close to the beatiful lake, Cheng Chin Lake, which serves as the water resouviro for providing clean water for the people to drink in the city.  It is also close to Niaosong Wetlands.  They are rich in its culture and history with the marine and land ecosystem.  It provides our students with a nature classroom so our students occasionally have a field trip there to observe birds, and different plants either in the water or on the land.
We are lucky to be situated in the suburbs so it's more tranquil here and teachers are devoted to designing their courses.
The class joinng this contest is a international vision class composed of 29 students.  We meet 2 hours a week.  Teacher Jennifer has been joining this contest for about 3 years.  Our students have learned a lot through this cross-country collaboration.
