Phonics scheme

'Letters and sounds', and activities from 'Phonics Play' are used to help children learn how

to spell and read words as set out in the 2014 National Curriculum.

Reading scheme

A selection of books from various schemes are used to help children learn to read.

These have been colour coded in line with the National Bookband Scheme.

Books are drawn from many different schemes such as Rigby Star, Sunshine, Big Cat,

First Young Puffins and Ginn, but most of the reading books used are from

the Oxford Reading Tree Scheme.
