Sam Barlow High School CTE, as part of the Mt. Hood CTE Consortium, provides 6 programs of study for students interested in career education. These multi-year elective programs integrate core academic knowledge with technical and career knowledge. Students typically participate in hands-on learning experiences in non-traditional classroom settings (shops, labs, etc.). These programs provide students with a pathway to post-secondary education and careers.
The goal of the Mt. Hood Regional CTE Consortium is "to develop the academic and CTE skills of students to ensure America's global competitiveness through programs of study, partnerships with employers, and further education and careers."
Students can receive MHCC credit for a variety of courses taught in the CTE department at SBHS. Please see the Academic Course Guide for more information about each program and the college credits available. There is no fee for the MHCC College Now program.
