I am grateful to all of you who support Berea High School. Over the past four years we have grown so much, and very quickly. It is a pleasure to be the principal of such a great school. Our faculty, staff, students and community have demonstrated why Berea High School is such a special place.

As we move forward into the 2014-2015 school year, we need to take time to reflect on the past. We need to think about our accomplishments and setbacks, major and minor. We have received three Bronze Medals from US News and World reports. These bronze medals are awarded in their annual tops highs schools listing. Recently we also received notification that we made the Newsweek list of top 500 High Schools. We were ranked based on a weighted calculation which takes at-risk factors into consideration. These national awards along with out three strait years of receiving Palmetto Silver awards are a clear indication of our continued successes.

With the national and state awards comes even more challenges. We will not rest on our laurels. We are committed to continued growth academically. Now is the time to set goals, and to remember why we do what we do, to make our students futures are brighter. This school year we will be focusing on student centered instruction, integration of technology, and authentic literacy across the curriculum. Our faculty has been working hard to prepare our students for the challenges that face them now, and in the future.

With your help and the tireless dedication of our faculty and staff, we will provide a bright and prosperous future for all of our students.
