The ARMES program is a tuition-free arts program designed to meet the needs of students in grades 3 through 8 who have demonstrated outstanding talents and a deep interest in theatre, visual arts, strings or dance. The purpose of the program is to allow students to explore their chosen art form in depth while promoting individual creativity. This after-school program provides arts education taught by professional artists in dance, drama, strings and visual arts. All ARMES classes are offered at no cost to the student. (However, Strings students will be asked to provide their own instruments) The ARMES program is funded by the South Carolina Educational Improvement Act (EIA) and currently serves approximately 400 students in Greenville County.
