GMS Art Students Selected to Design Greencastle Holiday Card

GMS 7th grade art students created the images in this striking collage. Students studied local architecture around our historic downtown square. They used images of the buildings to create relief prints. This image was used as cover of the City of Greencastle's
 2015 holiday card.

Mayor Murray visited GMS to express her appreciation to all of the students working on this project!

GMS Art Chosen to Create "Egyptian" Panel for AMACO

The American Art Clay Company (AMACO) in Indianapolis has selected GMS art students to assist in the construction of a tile mural depicting the history of ceramics. The mural will also double as the company's sign. GMS students will create tiles depicting the ancient Egyptian period of art history. AMACO is a national supplier of clay and glazes for ceramic artists. Congratulations 8th grade art students!

GMS Art is Recipient of Putnam County Community Foundation Grant

The art department was thrilled to be chosen as a recipient of a grant which enabled us to purchase new equipment for our ceramics program. Students now have access to a new kiln, rolling ware cart and various tools for hand building. We are so very thankful.
