COMPLETE STREETS

A Bellevue Transportation Initiative to

design our streets for everyone's use.

Sunday, August 14, 1:30–3pm

A Complete Street is defined as one which provides a safe, convenient and context-sensitive facility for all modes of travel, and for users of all ages and abilities. Join us at our August meeting to learn how Complete Streets are being implemented in Bellevue – the first city in Nebraska to adopt the policy.

The discussion will include:

  • walking/biking trail improvements;

  • public transportation;

  • pedestrian and bicycle safety enhancements;

  • street traffic control efficiency;

  • plus, how you may participate.

The presentation will be led by members of the City Council appointed Citizen Complete Streets Advisory Panel, a group charged with investigating, fact finding and recommending improvements to the Council and Mayor. The Ordinance was passed in 2010 with annual reports made and posted online at:

Following this program, you are invited to join a committee breakout session to further the work of Green Bellevue. Our current initiatives include:

  • Ailanthus Invasive Species Action Plan

  • Planting Milkweed for Pollinators

  • Recycling in Bellevue

We hope to see you there! Green Bellevue meetings are free and open to the public.
