Sarpy County Earth Day

Trashion Fashion Show 2018

Sunday, April 29, 12 – 4 p.m.
BPS Lied Activity Center, Bellevue, NE

Educational Competition - Entries due April 19!

Did you know trash could be fashionable, creative and fun? We’re rolling out the green carpet for creativity. Combine at least two recyclable elements to create the next winning Trashion Fashion outfit design in one of four categories –formal wear, cosplay, mascots and pet wear or use the materials to create a walking Trash Talk Public Service Announcement.

Teams of two will present these outfits created entirely from recyclable materials on the fashion runway at Sarpy County Earth Day on April 29, 2018. This is a great opportunity to show how everyday disposable household items can get a second life. The possibilities are endless and originality will be rewarded.

Teams should include one model and one person to present information about the materials used and the intended use of the outfit. What can you design with colored pages from magazines, old homework assignments, laundry soap bottles, shoe boxes, pizza boxes, grocery sacks, etc.

Entries are limited to four per category, so send in your entry today. Prizes will be announced at the event.

This event is organized by the Zoo Academy students. Additional information, rules, and the full judging rubric can be found at the link below.
