Bonus / Extra Credit Assignments

All vocabulary self-quizzes will be collected in class on the day of the Regents-level unit test. Copies of the vocabulary self-quizzes are available in the file folders located in a file cabinet drawer labeled "BONUS".

  1. Unit 30: Indian Nationalist Movement Vocabulary Self-Quiz (11 Bonus Points)
  2. Unit 30: India and Pakistan (1947-Present) Vocabulary Self-Quiz (16 Bonus Points)

All bonus assignments are out of zero (0) points in Infinite Campus. If you completed a bonus assignment, it will be 0 "Pts" and your "Score" will have a # value. The # value is the bonus points total for the assignment. A zero (0) on a bonus assignment does NOT impact your marking period grade.

CastleLearning.com Regents Review (Help?)
  1. Students should access CastleLearning.com to review for the Regents Global History and Geography.
  2. My students have access to 1,803 Regents practices questions, which are divided into 24 different course unit exams.
  3. In a practice session, students will have two attempts to answer a practice question correctly. If a student answers a question incorrectly, the student will be provided a hint and defined vocabulary used in the question. Once a question is answered, the student will be provided a reason for the answer. Students should focus on the reasons for each answer, which will allow them to review important content from Units 18-34.
  4. All unit tests have multiple-choice questions ranging from 15 to 100.
  5. Students will be able to use Castle Learning throughout the school year, with the ability to access the site, 24-hours a day, 7 days a week. A practice exam can be interrupted at any time and continued later.
  6. Students will be able to use Castle Learning from any computer connected to the Internet – at school, home, or in the local library.
  7. Student will be able to browse through the extensive vocabulary for the course or work on the vocabulary flash card activity.
CastleLearning.com Assignments (Help?)

  3. Students are NOT allowed to work together.
  4. Smart phones can be used to complete the assessment rather than using a PC or Mac. However, it is recommended to use a PC or Mac to complete any assignment on CastleLearning.com.
