The Wildflower and Forest Great Walk – Northcliffe, Shannon and Crystal Springs 2012

Tuesday 2nd October 2012.
Bus leaves West Leederville 8am(St leonard’s Ave, Railway Parade end) 8am stopping Bunbury, Boyanup,Manjimup then South-West Hwy, Wheatley Coast Road to Northcliffe then Private Property Moores road -directions available from Chris or Vera
Camp setup for 4 nights
Wednesday 3rd October
Cairn Rock Trail Start from camp Moore Rd. Walk to Muirillup Rd(400m) then 2.5km to Canterbury River and Preston Road( pickup point) walk continues along Depot Rd to Boorara Rd( second pickup) and return to camp from South end of Moore Rd
Thursday 4th October
Walk to Boorara Tree and Lane Poole Falls.
Friday 5th October
Jane Forest Trail 11km 4-5hour loop.Then bus into Northcliffe Visitor Centre and do a group walk around the sculpture trail in the Northcliffe Forest Park(Entrance Fees apply)
other short walks nearby as well as Museum.
Saturday 6th October
Pack up camp move to Shannon campsite.
Camp setup for 2 nights
Walk along trails near granite formations and down to the Shannon dam etc back to camp.
Sunday 7th October
Walkdown Westcliffe Fire line to Cowbells and Big Tree Grove on the rest Forest Trees Drive.
Monday 8th October 2012
Pack up camp and move to DEC campsite at Crystal Springs for 3nights
Beach walk at Mandalay Beach.
Tuesday 9th October
Rest Day. Talk from WAFA
Wednesday 10th October
Walk to Hush Hush Beach then Long Point
Thursday 11th October
Pack up Camp,
Clean-up, Farewell Circle, return home..
