Great Walk Wheatbelt Woodlands Walk
Great Walk Wheatbelt Woodlands Walk
Tuesday 26th Sept to Thursday 5th October 2017
This walk will focus on the lakes, creeks and woodlands of the Wheatbelt and Great Southern. The Wildflowers will be in full swing. Our first camp site will be on the property of Michael and Janey Marsh, at their picturesque Woolyerling Farm at Nomans Lake, about 28km from Narrogin
Beautiful walks are planned around local lakes, woodlands and granite outcrops. from their we move to Temple Farm near Kojonup, hosted by the McFall family. This farm is a showcase of landcare with extensive oil mallee and other plantings. We will explore the local countryside with walks planned to the Bush Heriage reserve, Marribank, and local nature reserves.
This family friendly walk is suitable for all ages, so do start planning ahead for the September October school holidays.
People will have the option of being picked up after several kilometers if they prefer a shorter walk on the day.
The Walk sub committee is looking for some one to take on the food planning. Assistance available, so a great chance to learn a new skill. We are also still looking for bus driver(s) to bring our Great Walk bus down to the walk.
