The Great Lakes Center for Energy Smart Communities is an innovative energy community center being created in historic Park Forest, Illinois. Richard Dent’s Make a Dent Foundation and RLD Resources, LLC are leading efforts to create this new center.

The Center will facilitate the creation of a sustainable community - sustainable energy, sustainable jobs and sustainable careers for community members, tied together by sustainable business and government relationships.

The Great Lakes Center plans to put people to work reducing building-related energy costs in neighborhoods throughout the Chicago Southland region (population 650,000).

Our facility plan includes 100,000 square feet of research labs, with a learning center and career services including job placement, education and outreach programs for distressed suburban areas.
