WELCOME to RHS Automotive 2018-2019 School Year

RHS Automotive Technology program is a STEM enriched program.  Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics are an integral part of our learning experience.  

The automotive program offers students the learning experience of an automotive shop.  Our curriculum covers the introduction to Engine Repair, Automatic transmission/transaxle, Manual drive train and Axles, Suspension and steering, Brakes, Electrical/electronics, Heating and air conditioning, Engine performance.  Each area of repair will be built upon through each course offering.

Mr. Wiggins is the Robbinsville High School Automotive Technology instructor.  He is a National Board Certified Teacher. Mr. Wiggins graduated from Robbinsville High School in 1983.  Since 1999 he has been a Ford Senior Master Technician and an ASE Master Technician. He is also a Subaru Master Trained Technician.  His Automotive Service Excellence Certifications include A1, A2, A3, A4, A5, A6, A7, A8, G1, L1, L2, X9.  ASE Medium Truck Master Technician, as well as ASE School Bus Certifications.  

Teaching Goals:
Mr. Wiggins is committed to his students and their learning.  He continually seeks to improve his understanding of how students learn.  He has a desire to facilitate and encourage students in all areas of learning, to "be a little better today than you were yesterday.  He expects each student to work to reach their greatest potential.  Mr. Wiggins is a highly accomplished industry professional.  He has a vast knowledge of his subject area.  Mr. Wiggins has a great ability to convey subject matter to students.  He monitors and manages student learning to improve his classroom and retain the attention of his students.  Mr. Wiggins is a member of several professional learning communities.  He networks to stay in tune with the latest best practice methods.
