Red Ribbon Week Oct. 23-26

posted Oct 19, 2017, 7:00 AM by Jennifer Jeutter

WHAT IS RED RIBBON WEEK?
It is an ideal way for people and communities to unite and take a visible stand against
drugs. Show your personal commitment to a drug-free lifestyle through the symbol of
the Red Ribbon. “Red Ribbon Week is a chance to be visible and vocal in our desire
for a drug-free community,” Research shows that children are less likely to use alcohol
and other drugs when parents and other role models are clear and consistent in their
opposition to substance use and abuse.”

Please see the attached information sheet, which includes the Pledge, for more information and the attached Dress Up Days and Community Information.

Grafton LEGO League Jr.: Registration OPEN NOW through November 3rd

posted Oct 19, 2017, 6:47 AM by Jennifer Jeutter

Students and parent coaches can register for the 2017-18 LEGO League Jr. season now through Nov. 3. The registration fee is $20. Click here for information about how to register.
Teams will be announced at the end of November. The coach determines the meeting day, time, and location. Your child’s coach will contact you in December to find a day/time that works for the team. If your child can’t attend on the chosen day/time, we will make every effort to move your child to another team.

The Grafton LEGO League is a district-wide, hands-on program that engages children through experimentation and a culture of sharing and learning from others. It goes beyond just “playing with LEGOs”.  After a 12-week program that includes research, building and computer programming, teams have the opportunity to showcase their project at the Grafton LEGO Expo on April 14.
