I value communication and collaboration and believe it is a basis for productive relationships with students, their families and educational staff.  This leads to a better understanding of my student's interests, strengths, needs and progress. Communication can occur in a variety of ways and I invite all families to come in for a visit to an occupational therapy session.  These visits throughout the school year are a great way to show current skill and discuss carry over to home or community.  Furthermore, I value functional skills and the role of work.  I advocate for opportunities within our school setting to facilitate pre-vocation or functional skills in varieties of ways as this leads to acquisition of skills, ability to problem solve, independence and self worth.
