Peer Tutoring Program

GRAFTON HIGH SCHOOL
PEER TUTOR PROGRAM

Students helping students

WHAT?

Peer tutoring is a program offered at Grafton High School.  Mrs. Ladd is the school coordinator.  Peer tutoring is a supportive approach to help our students improve their understanding of academic material, feel better about themselves, and achieve higher grades.

WHY?

There has been extensive research on the effectiveness of peer tutoring.  It has been shown that both the tutee and the tutor gain significant benefits from their commitment to the program.

HOW?

Anyone can always ask for a tutor.  Tutors will be carefully matched with students seeking help.

WHO?

If you are interested in becoming a tutor or a tutee, you need to fill out an application form.

WHEN?

Tutors and tutees may sign up throughout the school year.

WHERE?

Study hall rooms will be made available throughout 1st through 7th hours.  Also, a room will be available before or after school.  You may find alternatives yourself during the day, after school or on weekends.
