Mr. Mangin’s Writing Workshop

A typical minilesson begins with an attention-grabbing connection. Then I will model a

strategy each day. Then kids will practice this strategy with a partner. During independent writing time, each individual will apply this strategy and share their writing at the end of class. During independent work time, children will be working on thinking, planning, researching, drafting, revising, editing, and conferring.
