Image result for Faye's pizzaHello Kennedy Families and local pizza lovers!

Our goal this year is to provide you with many FSO fundraising options. If your family loves PIZZA, this is the option is for you!

This week you will find an order form in your Thursday folder for Kennedy’s first fundraiser with Faye’s Pizza in Sheboygan.  We are very excited to work with Faye’s as we have heard the pizza is very good, and we love supporting local businesses!

What makes Faye’s unique?  Faye’s pizzas are competitively priced AND made fresh (then frozen) for every fundraiser. YUM!  Pizza is a quick and easy option for a weeknight dinner or snacking while cheering on your favorite football team.
All the pizzas cost either $6 or $7, and orders are due by Monday Nov. 6.
Once you order, mark your calendar for pickup: Tuesday, November 213-6PM at KES.

Thank you! Kennedy FSO

Fall Festival

posted Oct 20, 2017, 9:45 AM by Jamie Koehler   [ updated Oct 23, 2017, 8:07 AM ]

The leaves are falling, costumes and candy fill the stores, that can only mean one thing…  It’s time for Kennedy’s Fall Festival!

Put on your costumes and join us for a fun afternoon on Saturday Nov 4th from 3pm to 5pm at Kennedy The festival will have old favorites like Cookie Decorating, Music by the Campfire, Popcorn and Movies, Pumpkin Bowling and Bat-sketball.  And new this year… a Monster Bake Walk, Silent Auction and Pirates!  And for the hungry goblins, there will be hot dogs and snacks available at the concession stand or stroll down to John’s Pizza after 5pm for dinner where a portion of food sales will go to Kennedy FSO, just tell them we sent you.

Admission Fee is a suggested donation and is not required.  There are still opportunities to help by donating basket items for the silent auction.  A donation box is available in the Kennedy office.  Check out Signup.com for more ways to help.

Kennedy Retro Movie Day Postponed Until Spring Semester

posted Oct 19, 2017, 9:33 AM by Jamie Koehler

Image result for movie clipartDue to low ticket sales, we are postponing the Kennedy Retro Movie Day until a date to be determined in January or February. Many families have fall conflicts and feedback to the committee is that winter is a better time for an indoor activity. In addition, we hope to raise even more money by opening up ticket sales to the public, once Kennedy families have time to reserve their tickets.

Payments sent to the office are being returned in your child's Thursday folder this week.

Thanks, and keep your eyes peeled for our other fall FUNdraiser: The Faye's Pizza sale (information coming home today) and the Small Gift Pop-up Shop in late November!

Thanks! KES Fundraising Committee

Library News

Thank you to everyone who had a chance to stop in during Open House and experience our first Maker Space Library Challenge!  We had a lot of fun seeing the ideas students came up with to create the tallest structure out of 15 pipe cleaners. We also enjoyed seeing what students are most excited about in the Library this year in front of our green screen.

Congratulations to Olivia Rassette, 2nd grade who won our prize drawing.

Reminder notifications will go home for books that are overdue.  Please help students remember to return books on library day.

We appreciate donations to our new Maker Space.  Currently we are in need of low temp hot glue guns and glue sticks.
Thank you for your help!

Students and parent coaches can register for the 2017-18 LEGO League Jr. season now through Nov. 3. The registration fee is $20. Click here for information about how to register. Teams will be announced at the end of November. The coach determines the meeting day, time, and location. Your child’s coach will contact you in December to find a day/time that works for the team. If your child can’t attend on the chosen day/time, we will make every effort to move your child to another team.

A parent information session will be held on Tuesday, Oct. 17 from 6:30 - 7:30 in the Grafton Elementary School Library. Parents will learn more about LEGO League and how to register their child.

The Grafton LEGO League is a district-wide, hands-on program that engages children through experimentation and a culture of sharing and learning from others. It goes beyond just “playing with LEGOs”.  After a 12-week program that includes research, building and computer programming, teams have the opportunity to showcase their project at the Grafton LEGO Expo on April 14.
