New Board Policy - Background Checks for Volunteers

At the October 12 Board of Education meeting, Policy 350 - Volunteer Background Checks was approved.  Under this new policy, a background check is required for all volunteers who work one-on-one or alone with students, who accompany students on field trips or overnight activities, or who have the potential to access confidential information.  
The district greatly appreciates our dedicated volunteers and asks that they fill out the background check consent form as soon as possible to help us provide a safe environment for our students,  Forms for authorizing background checks are available in each school office and at this link:   Volunteer Background Disclosures and Consent for Background Check form   Forms can be returned to any school office or sent directly to Tammy Koenig, human resources coordinator, in the District Office (1900 Washington St., Grafton  or  tkoenig@grafton.k12.wi.us).
