The Center was inaugurated January 31, 2008.  The photo above shows Griffith Park Adult Community Club officers Doris Slater, Marilyn Friedman,  Stephanie Vendig  with club founder Leah Lomedico, Bea Gold, Jeanne Phipps and district 4 city councilman Tom Labonge at the Center ribbon cutting ceremony.

The facility is operated by the City of Los Angeles, Department of Recreation and Parks and is home to the Griffith Park Adult Community Club.

The Center is available to all of age 50+, 8:30am - 4:30pm, Monday thru Friday.

The center serves the Atwater Village, East Hollywood, Echo Park, Elysian Valley, Franklin Hills, Los Feliz and Silver Lake areas of Los Angeles.
Lunch is served at the center, Monday thru Friday, at noon.  The lunch program is administered by the City of Los Angeles, Department of Aging.
