Information and Communication Technology (ICT) skills should be learned and used by students as an integral part of the GWRSD curriculum. The role of the GWRSD educator is to teach students when to use, how to use and why to use technology to achieve essential understandings.
ICT tools assist students with the gathering of information by responsibly accessing and interacting with information sources. Using current technologies, students apply critical thinking skills to develop the content of their project and showcase their results.
ICT skills are motivating to students and give them opportunities to express themselves in creative, effective ways. It’s important to seize that excitement to develop critical thinking skills. These proficiencies help prepare each child to create the future.
