Students Using Soundtrap to Accomplish International Necessity
Project S.U.S.T.A.I.N. is a global songwriting initiative started by Ben Kelly in New Brunswick, Canada. Students around the world are collaborating to create music for a single album. For the last two years, with the guidance of Mrs. Williamson and GMS Gifted & Talented teachers Mrs. Knott & Mrs. Ambrose, a select group of GMS 7th and 8th grade students have worked together to learn about and create a song to bring awareness to one of the 17 United Nations Sustainable Development Goals. Students meet during their lunch block once a week and after school to work on ideas. All original lyrics and instrumental parts are then recorded using Soundtrap. Watch the videos below to learn more and hear the original compositions.
