How to Make Your Gadget Header a "Hot Link"

When you insert a Google Gadget on a Google Sites page, you have the option to include a header. The header, by default, is just static text.

However, in some cases, it would be beneficial if you could make the header a "hot link". Using some basic HTML, that is easy to do. Here's how:
  • Add your gadget to the Google Sites page
  • Click on the HTML link in the rich text editor
  • Find the gadget's HTML code (hint: google gadgets always starts with <img src=" )

  • Paste the following line right before the gadget html (same line is fine.. no spaces required ; replacing the URL with the URL you want.) <a href="">

  • Click Update
  • Save the Google Sites page
