The purpose of student council is to build school spirit and to introduce elementary school students to the workings of student government. Members will learn parliamentary procedure, how to run a meeting, create agendas, pay bills, and be fiscally responsible with a budget. Other duties of these members will be to approve assemblies, assist speakers, and support events that come up throughout each school year. The Elementary Student Council does have a working budget based on the magazine sale which the students raised this past Fall.   |
