Creating a Hyperlink Using Text

Example: A hyperlink created using text
Create a link to Google.

1.  While editing your page, highlight the text you would like to make become a hyperlink.  This can be one word or a string of words.
2.  On the Google Sites toolbar, click on Link.

3.  The Create Link window will open.  Select Web address from the navigation on the left-hand side of the window.  Type in the web address you would like to link to (such as www.google.com in the example below).  At the bottom of the screen there is also an option for having your link open in a new window.  If this is selected, when visitors click on your link, it will open either in a new tab or window (depending on the Internet browser they are using and it's settings).  Press the OK button.  Your selected text will now be a hyperlink.
