The purpose of the portfolio is to capture the meaningful moments on the path to becoming a teacher.  
This purpose is fulfilled when teacher candidates select artifacts of their growth as a teacher, consider why these moments of growth were significant to their development as a teacher, and align these moments of growth with teacher preparation standards.
