  • English and French Immersion Primary Registration September 2019
    Attention YCS School Community,

We are now registering Grade Primary students for both the English and French Immersion Programs for the 2019/2020 school year. In order to register your child, please phone the school office at 749-2860 and give us your child’s name, date of birth, permanent address of residency and family contact information, so we can contact you for our Orientation sessions in May. At the Orientation session, we’ll make a copy of your child’s Birth Certificate.

Please feel free to come by the school and take a Registration Package at any time.  If you know of any family that has a child who is entering Grade Primary in September, please share this information with them. We appreciate your help and support.  As always, if you have any questions and/or concerns, please do not hesitate to contact us at any time.

PLEASE NOTE: If your child is currently enrolled in the Pre-Primary Program, you do not need to re-register your child.

Registration for the Pre-Primary Program is done online through the Tri-County Regional Centre for Education and we’ll update when the link is available.

  • Report Cards for Grades P-6

By December 4th, students in Grades Primary to Six will be receiving their Term 1 report cards. There is always a level of anticipation ahead of report cards because they are an important part of the ongoing communication about your child's progress. Attached is a document which outlines what you can expect to see in your child's report card. If your child was in school last year, there will be some changes to the report card from last year. These changes were made in support of recommendations from the provincial Council to Improve of Classroom Conditions . The Department of Education and Early Childhood Development has also produced a video which provides more details. If you have any questions about your child's progress, please reach out to your child's teacher or school principal.
