Our school parking lot and the Main Street can be incredibly busy places in the morning when children arrive and in the afternoon when it's dismissal time. Ensuring that no one gets hurt is a primary concern of the school staff, but it requires everyone's participation, including parents. I have witnessed and have had many reports that give me much concern. The safety of our students and community members is very important. When everyone practices proper “drop off and pick up” safety, it makes it easier to keep everyone safe.

The following guidelines will help to ensure that our students enter our school grounds safely:

1. Parent are not to drive into the school’s parking lot.

2. Students are to be dropped off on Main Street in front of the school.

3. Student who are dropped off across from the school or along Convent Street must not

cross the street.  Students must  proceed to the crosswalk where they will be guided

across the street by the crossing guard.

4. When students enter the parking lot, they must proceed past the marked spot on the

cement wall to ensure that they are not standing in the area of the parking lot

designated for staff parking and buses.
