Welcome to Grade Primary/One Josey

Thank you for your support at home and open communication! Open communication is truly important to ensuring your child's success.

I am looking forward to meeting with families this week for Parent Teacher Meetings! You will received your confirmed time on Monday December 3rd.

As the next few weeks are going to be very busy, I am not going to be sending home Home Reading/Homework, however I do encourage students to read books at home and/or use the Literacy Links for online books. Epic is great and all the students know how to use this, they can listen to stories or you can read books together.

Please be sure to check Dates to Remember and Weekly update e-mails for events coming up over the next few weeks.

Over the next three weeks our class will travel "Around the World" to visit different places. Starting in Canada and then traveling to the United States, Australia, Sweden, Italy, France, Mexico, England and Germany to learn about their Christmas Traditions/Celebrations. Students will demonstrate an appreciation of various cultures as well as discuss the similarities and differences between visits. Durning this time, each day students will be able to share about Traditions in their house, please watch Message Bags for a notice explaining more.

Don't forget our Christmas Concert Night is December 12th at 6:00pm. Students are only given two tickets for the evening concert, parents and grandparents are welcome to attend the dress rehearsal on December 12th at 1:00pm.

As always, please contact me at your convenience if you have any questions or concerns.
