Introduction

Epochs divide the life of Florida into five separate parts. The five epochs (in order from oldest to youngest) are the Eocene, Oligocene, Miocene, Pliocene, and Pleistocene. Miocene is the longest epoch in the Cenozoic era where all of these are found. There were animals, plants, and even climate in this epoch that was different than present day. Information about the geosphere, atmosphere, hydrosphere, and biosphere of Florida during the Miocene was found.
