Mrs. Katie Loest

This is my 4th year working for Green Lake School District. I earned a Bachelor of Science from Northern Michigan University in Marquette, Michigan and a Masters of Science in Education in Professional Counseling with an emphasis in School Counseling from University of Wisconsin Oshkosh. Prior to accepting a position with GLSD, I worked as an elementary school counselor for Fond du Lac School District. I live in Ripon with my husband (Tylor), daughter (Meryl), and cat (Edward). I’m excited for the opportunity to continue working with GLSD families!

If you would like to meet with either of us, please let us know a time that might work. Junior High and High School Students: the best times to meet are times when you are not in class -study hall, lunch, or before/after school meetings are preferred. Elementary Students: Arrange a time to meet by speaking with your teacher or asking your parents to contact the counselor. Parents, please do not hesitate to call if there is anything we can do to help your child succeed.

School Counseling Services
Using the Wisconsin Comprehensive School Counseling Model and the American School Counseling Association National Standards I will be working hard to create and sustain a comprehensive school counseling program that will provide services to all students in grades 4K-12. This model will incorporate elements of school counseling curriculum, individual student planning, responsive services, and system support. This will be a big feat, but I am excited about the challenge!
