Lawrence High School

Working with teachers from the Humanities and Leadership Academy at Lawrence High School, GLCBP hosts 16 LHS students for a full day enrichment program, combining academic coursework, recreational boating, and paid employment at the boathouse.  This season we are featuring coach education workshops as a way to empower young people to develop leadership skills and encourage younger kids to get and stay active.  The Project Coach team from Smith College conducts weekly workshops with these students on how to work with young kids and to be the best possible coach they can.  After completing the summer, the LHS students will get a Class A coaching license and be ready to implement a middle school rowing curriculum in local schools.  If your school would like to to be part of the new indoor rowing league that will be led by Project Coach graduates, please contact the boathouse at 978-681-8675.
