O’Maley Academy Summer Programs

The following camps are FREE for all students entering grades 6-9. There is a fee for students who do not attend O’Maley, or did not attend O’Maley in the 2016-17 school year.



July Drama Camp - 8 Day Camp

Students will rehearse a collection of dramatic scenes to be performed at the end of the program.  Students MUST attend both weeks of camp.

August Musical Theatre Camp - 10 Day Camp

Students will rehearse songs, scenes, and dances for the camp’s ending musical review.

Students must attend both weeks.

Zero Robotics Camp

The five-week STEM curriculum introduces students to computer programming, robotics, and space engineering, and provides hands-on experience programming SPHERES (Synchronized, Position, Hold, Engage, Reorient, Experimental Satellites). The program culminates in a tournament where winning teams’ SPHERES compete aboard the International Space Station (ISS). Middle school participants will get to see the SPHERES operate in space via a live feed from the ISS while NASA astronauts provide real-time commentary. This program requires a five week (Monday to Thursday) commitment. There are numerous field trips throughout the program. This program will be taught by Mr. Davis.

Authors of New England Literacy Enrichment Program


Students will travel Mondays, Tuesday, and Wednesdays to historic sites to visit museums and birthplaces of famous authors.  We will visit places such as The Old Manse, USS Constitution and Salem, MA.  On Thursdays, we will compile our information, read passages and create a guide or blog for other middle school students.

Science Grad Camp

Explore Careers in Science and Engineering! Investigate what it takes to be a scientist and an engineer. Join us to meet people working in the exciting fields of medicine and engineering. Think about what it takes to become a scientist by visiting UMass Lowell and Northeastern University. Last, but never least, some hands on activities at the Gloucester Biotechnology Academy.

Backyard Growers Summer Program


Join the O'Maley Backyard growers for a fun week of farming and cooking! This program will be run by the wonderful Amy Root!
