1974 State Champions Trophy

CONGRATULATIONS TO THE 1974 STATE CHAMPIONS!

The state of Illinois began playing a post-season in football in 1974, beginning with five classes, with 5A being the largest.

Glenbrook North was the first 5A state champions in Illinois, defeating the East St. Louis Flyers 19-13 in overtime at Hancock Stadium on the campus of Illinois State University.
