About Me

I received my undergraduate degree in special education, along with a Spanish minor, in 1993 from The Ohio State University.  I began my teaching career at Gahanna Christian (formerly Evangel Christian Academy) where I was a tutor and part time Spanish teacher.  In 1994, I moved to Gahanna Middle School East where I was a tutor for students in grades 6-8, focusing primarily on math.  In 1995, I followed my heart and moved to the elementary level. I taught a half day and High Point and a half day at Blacklick as an Intervention Specialist.  In 1996, I was able to work full time as an Intervention Specialist at High Point. I kept this job for twelve wonderful years. During this time, I went back to school and earned my degree in elementary educaction (1-8) from Ashland University and my Masters in Children's Literature from The Ohio State University.  In 2008, I switched positions to teach fifth grade.  After three years of fifth grade, I taught fourth grade for five years. In 2016, I followed my heart once again.  I am now thrilled to start my second year teaching second grade!
