Chipps' 646 Class

My name is Jake Chipps.  I am the math department chair and the STEM director at Granada Hills Charter High School. I am also a PD facilitator for Exploring Computer Science, and I teach SED 514 and SED 646 at California State University, Northridge. I developed Beyond Calculus, a website that houses over 14 hours of free video instruction. I am currently working on my doctorate in learning technologies at Pepperdine University.

SED 646 Computers in Mathematics Teaching
Design, development, and use of computer-based curricular resources for the teaching of mathematics. Topics include internet resources, simulated experiments, computer-assisted instruction, mathematics tools, graphing calculators, modular interactive collaborative technology, games, databases, programming, Review and analysis of research on the use of technology in the mathematics classroom will also be explored.
