In order to help with evaluating formulas, we often need to solve for a variable first. Solving for a variable means to write an equivalent equation with that variable alone on one side of the equation. That letter should not appear at all on the other side of the equation. This is commonly referred to as "isolating the variable" on one side of the equation. Watch the video to see this process in action.
