About Me
M.S. in Pure Mathematics, Georgia Southern University, 2015
B.S.P in Physics, Georgia Southern University, 2013
B.S. in Mathematics, Georgia Southern University, 2013
I am currently a lecturer at Georgia Southern in the Department of Mathematics. I currently serve on multiple committees and also work as course coordinator for Survey of Calculus, MATH 1232.
My hobbies are photography, exercising, traveling, back country hiking, reading, video games, and doing math.
Past Research
Photolysis Study of Vanillin Tetra-Phenyl Porphyrins, Mentor: Dr. James LoBue.
Emission Study of Doubly-doped Magnesium Phosphors for White LED Applications, Mentor: Dr. Xiao-jun Wang.
Large Scale Structure of the Universe, Mentor: Dr. Anand Balaraman.
Enumerating Graphs Using Integrals from Quantum Field Theory, Mentor: Dr. Jimmy Dillies. (graduate thesis)
Current Research Interests
My primary interests are in mathematical education and the connections between the roots of the Riemann Zeta Function and quantum states of primon gases.
Regarding Mathematics Education, I am interested mostly in what type of instruction yields more effective results: rigorous vs. intuitive approaches. I am also very interested in curriculum mapping and how it relates to student learning outcomes.
