What is the EMHSA?
The Department of Health Systems Administration at Georgetown University's School of Nursing & Health Studies offers two options for students pursuing a Master's of Science degree in health systems administration.
The two-year executive track, known as the EMHSA, is designed for working professionals in the health care field and includes a combination of on-campus, offsite, and online sessions to offer students the flexibility of an online program without sacrificing academic rigor and our connection to the Georgetown and Washington D. C. communities.
Students explore current health care challenges through lectures, readings, stimulating discussions, and individual and collaborative projects. Students also participate in international and DC-based Intensives, which provide experiential learning and diverse networking opportunities.
