Rose Hip Gathering with Gr. 8 Foods Class

Ms. Bruin's grade eight Foods Class received a lesson in Indigenous foods and preparation with First Nations Education Worker, Trish Rainville. Students gathered rose hips, used air drying methods and made tea. To accompany the rose hip tea students made Metis style bannock.

   Students hiked around Logan Lake Marsh collecting rose hips while learning about other indigenous medicinal and edible plants.
