Birthday Blessings Book Program

This program allows parents to honor their child's birthday by donating a book to our library collection. Your child will select a book from our special "Birthday Book" shelf and be the first to check it out. Keep an eye out for your invitation to participate during your child's birthday month. June July birthdays will be celebrated in January, February and March.

Accelerated Reader Program

This program allows students to earn points for successfully completely quizzes on the books they've read independently.

AR Home Connect allows you to view the tests taken by your child so you can see them progressing from one reading level to the next. It also allows you to see how well they are comprehending the books they are reading so that you can feel confident that they are choosing the right books for their current reading level. Simply log in using the user name and password your child uses to take tests at school.

We Love Our Library Volunteers!

The Grace Episcopal Day School Library Media Center is a great place to volunteer! We continually need volunteers to shelve, label and cover books. Please email mmarzec@geds.net if you are able to help.

Important Links

Click on Destiny Quest  to quickly view the "Top Ten" books circulating in our library media center right now, useful "Resource Lists" relevant to what students are currently studying and "New Arrivals," the newest books we've added to our collection. We are so blessed to have a large collection of both fiction and non-fiction books in the library, so there is something here for everyone! Students and parents can use our library catalog from home and click on Destiny Quest to get useful information about the books in our collection. Students are strongly encouraged to search the catalog from home, so that they can come to the library media center ready to find books that suit both their needs and their tastes.

AR Book Finder – Quickly look up the title of a book to see if it is on the Accelerated Reader list. You will find a brief description of the book as well as both the reading level and interest level. Please record the Quiz Number and send it with your child to school when he/she is ready to take the quiz.

Book Return

Please remind you child to return their library books. We still have some overdue books floating around out there and they want to come home. The children are not be able to check out new books until the old ones come back.
